I never know what to write in these things.
My name is Danielle (Dani) or Lilsouris. Souris is french for mouse, which is my nickname because I'm such a short arse. I'm 21, although I'm far from feeling like an adult and I'm an Advertising Student at Salford University and part time deli-counter customer assistant at Tesco -_-
Well that's the basics, what else? I am a huge Harry Potter geek (and proud of it!) Read the series approx 15 times. POA and GOF I've probs read 20 plus times. After July 15th my life ends :( I also love Doctor who, Disney and Twilight (Haters gonna hate) I love reading. I used to devour books, about five or six a month, and I can read the HP books in like five days quite easily. When I get into a series, I will become obsessed and speed read frantically and I love the fan stuff that goes with it. I.e Fan art and Fanfiction. Fanfiction is the reason I don't read books much anymore, but I'm okay with that.
Film wise I'm actually pretty blasé. I mean I watch films but I have my comfort zones. Disney and Studio Ghibli make up a large proportion of my faves. My overall favourite film is probably The Green Mile (Love it! <3)
The music I listen to is varied, I'll listen to most things from a tiny bit of rap to a little metal and everything between. My fave bands are Metallica, Arctic Monkeys, Muse, and Iron Maiden.

As an artist...

Things as an artist I wish I could...
1) Stop focusing so much on the foreground and actually do a background that isn't white! I think it adds so much to your work sometimes often when I am working on something I feel at a loss of how to do a background when I have made the subject so bold. I always worry that once I have a background it will somehow detract from the foreground and ruin it. I have this problem especially in sketchbooks. I am daunted my huge expanses of white which I feel as though I cannot fill.
2) Stick to a project - Seriously I have an attention span of a goldfish.
3) Stop being so precious with my work - Lol may not

Setting myself a challenge, due to immense summer boredom and the recent purchase of my new promarker set: Produce a new piece of art everyday in a different media ... eep (wonder how long I can keep that up hah) Should keep me busy anyway. So... Day 1- promarker.
